More than 40 people linked to fake or corrupt flood control projects in Bulacan and Oriental Mindoro will be jailed this November. The group includes local contractors, families, and former congressman Zaldy Co. The cases are non-bailable, so once charges are filed, imprisonment follows quickly. The government’s anti-corruption body is also checking 80 other flood projects to see if money was misused.
